Council members approved a four percent wage increase for public works employees at their Tuesday, Nov. 25, meeting. This also included a $.50 an hour pay increase for the public works supervisor, for his spray endorsement.
Additionally the council approved a wage increase of the Clerk/Treasurer position to $13.50 an hour. Initially it was proposed to increase the wages to $15 per hour but after the motion failed council members debated on $14 before deciding on $13.50.
Council member Karissa Labes made the motion to increase the clerk’s wages and then reevaluate in six months.
