Ruben John Fode

Ruben John Fode died Nov. 17, at age 82. He was born December 16, 1931 to John and Emelia Fode.

Ruben graduated from Lind High School in 1950 then earned his BA in Agriculture at WSU in 1954. While at WSU he was a Charter member of Farmhouse Fraternity.

After serving in the Air Force he returned to Lind and found the Love of his life Patricia Smith. They married on September 24, 1960. They settled on the family farm, had 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Ruben received Jaycees Outstanding Young Farmer in 1967 and was very active with Lind Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife Pat Fode, son David (Christine) Fode, daughter Bonnie (Randy) Holce, grandsons Michael and Matthew Fode and Ben and Byron (Megan) Schorzman. He is also survived by sister Ruth, brother Roy and little sis Doris. Go Cougs!

A Memorial service will be held Tuesday November 25, at 1:00 PM at Zion Philadelphia UCC in Ritzville. Inurnment will be at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lind Lions Club or Zion Philadelphia Church.
