Election moves in favor of Hille

Voter turnout in Adams County nearly doubled the national average as of the latest tabulation on Nov. 7 with 55.94 percent of elegible voters participating in this year’s midterm election. The Associated Press reported national voter turnout at 36.6 percent.

As of Nov. 7 however, all but one race was decided in the 2014 vote.

In the race for Ritzville District Court Judge incumbent Adalia A. Hille leads opponent Carolyn Benzel by just 5 votes.

According to the Adams County Auditor webpage Hille had received 787 votes compared to Benzel’s 782.
