LEAGUE CHAMPS. The LRS Bronco Football Team secured the League Championship Title on Friday, Oct. 31, by winning their game against the Colfax Bulldogs. They remain as the only undefeated team in the NE 2B League this season and are undefeated for three consecutive seasons. In their final game of the regular season the Broncos fell behind early to the Colfax Bulldogs.
Despite being short five starting players and down 6-13 at the half the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague football team was able to pull together and overcome the Bulldogs 27-25.
The Bulldogs took the lead early, scoring in the first and second quarters.
“We haven’t been used to that so it was interesting to see how we’d respond,” Head Coach Greg Whitmore said.
The Broncos were unable to answer the Bulldog offensive drives until Jacob Saetre connected with Andrew Witt for 29 yards and the first Bronco touchdow...
