In their last two matches of the regular season the Lady Broncos were able to over come their opponents.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, they traveled to Kettle Falls to take on the Bulldogs.
The Broncos were able to sweep the match in three sets. The first set was close, with the Broncos edging out the Bulldogs 25-21. The next two sets were completely controlled by the Broncos, who took the second set 25-12 and the third set 25-7.
Mallory Kessler was the leading scorer for the Lady Broncos. Scoring 12 aces and five kills during the match while serving 97 percent from the line.
On defense Tessa Jantz recorded 11 digs for the Broncos.
The Broncos then prepared to host the Reardan Indians on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
During the senior night match The Broncos again defeated their opponent in three sets. It was close fought, with the Broncos taking the sets 25-22, 25-15 and 25-21 respectively.
Kessler again lead the Bronco scoring with six aces and nine kills during the match. Jantz scored seven kills during the match, as well as having a strong showing on defense as well with 11 digs.
Janna Mattox would lead the defensive efforts for the Broncos recording 16 digs against the Indians.
League Tournament play will begin on Nov. 1.
The Broncos will face off against the Davenport Gorillas at 9 a.m. in Saint George’s.
The top five teams out of the tournament automatically advance to the Regional Tournament. The sixth place team will face the number three team from the Southeast 2B league for a chance to qualify for the tournament.
