In Ritzville the meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the American Legion Hall. Meetings are also scheduled for Connell and Harrington as well. The Connell meeting will be held on Nov. 3 at 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Community center at 211 East Elm Street.
The Harrington meeting will be held the following day, Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Harrington Memorial Hall at 8 South Third Street. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 11:30 a.m.
The Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs provide a safety net for producers. The programs provide financial assistance when crop prices, county revenue or individual farm revenue fall below congressional set limits.
These programs replace the old direct subsidy programs the FSA administered under the old Farm Bill.
More information about the programs can be found at http://www.fsa.usda.gov/arc-plc.
