Experience matters for district court judge

I’d like to take an opportunity to share my support for Carolyn Benzel for District Court Judge. I have a rather unique perspective of her work ethic and character that leads me to wholeheartedly support her for judge.

Prior to taking office as the Franklin County Prosecutor in 2011, I worked as a contract defense attorney in Grant County where Carolyn was a senior deputy prosecuting attorney. I have had many cases where Carolyn was on the opposing side, often times on serious felony matters. Carolyn was always professional and was a zealous advocate as a deputy prosecuting attorney.

She recognizes the impact crime has on victims and others in the process and will be an excellent judge in weighing the facts of every case.

Carolyn has a broad base of legal experience that will serve well the citizens of Adams County. In addition to criminal and civil law experience, she has served as an administrative law judge giving her the proven experience as an unbiased decision maker. As a practicing attorney, Carolyn has made the tough decisions that come in determining a just outcome in a case.
