EMERGENCY SERVICES. MedStar landed across from the Benge School on Oct. 6 to assist firefighters with landing zone training techniques.
The Adams County Fire Protection District No. 6 and Northwest MedStar partnered to conduct a Landing Zone training course in Benge on Oct. 6. Over 30 volunteer firefighters and community members attended the seminar in order to improve the quality and become more informed on MedStar’s emergency services.
Residents had the opportunity to tour the helicopter and ask questions of the pilots and employees aboard the aircraft. The flight crew also provided information regarding air transport, how to choose, set up and mark a safe landing zone, as well as how to communicate with the pilot.
