Director position vacancies in Irrigation District

The filing period is now open for two director positions in the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District.

To serve as a director, an individual must be a qualified voter within the direcor division he or she represents. To qualify as a voter an individual must own land included within the district and vote in the director division they live in or nearest to.

To file for the position of director, a declaration of candidacy petition, signed by at least 10 qualified voters in that division must be filed in the East District office by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3.

The election will be held Dec. 9.

Candidacy petitions may be obtained by calling the East District’s main office in Othello at 488-9671. The main office is located at 55 North 8th, Othello, Washington.
