Timothy James Birge

Timothy James Birge died on August 25 in Spokane.

Tim, the youngest of 4 children, was born to Cecil and Irene Birge on December 6, 1957 in Odessa.

He was raised in Harrington, and graduated from Harrington High School in 1976.

While attending high school, Tim participated in golf and basketball.

Tim also played the drums in the high school band, following in the footsteps of his two older brothers.

Tim attended Eastern Washington University and obtained a license to sell life and health insurance.

Eventually, Tim shared an office with his dad who was a long time New York life agent.

Tim recently described this experience as “one of the best times of my life”, and had very fond memories of how much he learned from his dad.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Irene Birge; his paternal grandparents Ules and Norma Jean Birge; and maternal grandparents Ed Schoenberg and Evelyn Naylor; and a number of aunts and uncles.

Tim is survived by his son Kevin in McMinnville, Oregon, son Nik and his wife Caylee, and granddaughters Maddyn and Mila of Moscow, Idaho.

He is also survived by his sister Sharon Heimbigner and her husband Doug of East Wenatchee; brother Dennis Birge and his wife Marlis of Lacey, Washington; and brother Mark Birge and his wife Tenley from Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Additional family members include nephews Joe Gonzales, Christopher Heimbigner, Justin Birge, Ryan Birge and Landon Birge, and nieces Jennifer Gonzales, Megan Heimbigner, Rachael Birge, and Heather Shaw, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tim’s family members request that donations be made to your favorite charity in memory of Tim.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 4, at 2 p.m. at the Harrington Memorial Cemetery.

A reception will follow.
