Increased funding for the Division Street overlay project approved

At the Aug. 20 meeting of the Ritzville City Council the city was updated on the status of the Division Street Overlay Project.

Council Member Scott Yaeger said after a meeting the week prior, TIB informally agreed to fund the additional cost of the project due to the ADA ramps.

The project would include grinding down the pavement from First Avenue to Sixth Avenue, inlaying with new pavement, ADA approved ramps at all four corners of each intersection and repairing sidewalk damage along the route.

The city, however, had to wait for official approval from TIB.
