LITTLE HELPERS. Dale Nelson leans against the racks of the trailer, taking a breather, as his two eager helpers Sage Galbreath and Savannah Carruth haul debris into the back of the trailer. Nearly 40 volunteers traveled to the Lind Community Garden on Saturday, Aug. 16, to assist with a clean-up day. Volunteers pulled weeds, removed sagebrush, spread mulch and began constructing a greenhouse on the property. The majority of the volunteers were from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the clean-up effort was part of their day of service. After nearly three hours of manicuring the garden, volunteers and residents enjoyed a barbecue and free swim day at the Lind pool. -Journal photo by Katelin Davidson
