July 6, 10:18 p.m.- A Lind complainant on West Third Street advised of loud noise coming from their neighbor’s house. Deputy Hunter Klewin contacted the subject and advised them to keep the noise down.
July 7, 9:03 a.m.- Sergeant Ben Buriak and Deputy Tomas Solano responded to a burglary alarm on East Yeisley Road in Lind. The homeowner advised they had tripped the alarm accidentally.
July 7, 1:07 p.m.- Sheriff John Hunt and Deputy Solano responded to a report of assault on North Plager Road in Ritzville.
July 7, 2:07 p.m.- Deputy Solano performed a residence check on West First Street in Lind after a complainant advised the individuals taking care of their house were not answering their phones. Solano made contact with the individuals who advised their phones were out of service.
July 8, 11:20 a.m.- A complainant on North S Street reported various items were stolen from their home.
July 8, 6:20 p.m.- A complainant advised that their neighbors dogs were regularly escaping the yard on North Ziemer Road. The owner of the dogs did not have a working phone number. Deputy Klewin called a friend of the owner who advised they would let the owner know about the dogs.
July 9, 8:17 a.m.- Sergeant Buriak received a report of a subject loading items into a pick up from a shop on East Neergaard Road. While responding the complainant called back and advised the subject was supposed to be there and units could disregard.
July 9, 12:10 p.m.- A complainant in Lind requested contact in reference to a bus parked on a lot on West Main Street. Deputy Ned Bernath arrived on scene and spoke with the owner of the property who advised they wre not aware of the bus at the location and wanted it removed. Bernath advised the property owner that removing the bus was a civil matter but if there is someone physically on the property they can be cited for trespassing.
July 9, 6:30 p.m.- A complainant on East Urquhart Road reported all of the gates around their home had been opened and their livestock was out.
July 9 10:11 p.m.- A complainant on East Calloway Road in Washtucna reported suspicious activity. Deputy Jeffrey Lane checked the area but could not find anything. Lane requested dayshift to make contact with the property owner. Deputy Bernath attempted to make contact the next day. Nothing appeared to be out of order and he left a business card at the location.
July 10, 12:28 p.m.- A complainant on North Paha-Packard Road advised of a suspicious subject at their residence who advised he was there to administer a survey. The subject said the complainant should have known because of previous correspondence. The subject left a business card and Deputy Bernath made contact with them. They advised they had several surveys set up between Ritzville and Spokane and was unsure why the correspondence was messed up. But they did have an appointment with the complainant.
July 10, 1:58 p.m.- A report of a plane going down near Sprague was received by a complainant on Interstate 90. Law enforcement, fire and medical crews responded to the area and searched but no crash was found. It was later determined the incident was likely a military air maneuver which is often performed in the area.
July 10, 8:50 p.m.- Dispatch advised of a suspicious subject on North Ziemer Road and East Danekas Road. It was reported the subject had tried to jump in the back of a passing truck. The subject advised they were able to paraglide from Chelan to their location 12 miles east of Ritzville. Deputy Bernath transported the subject to Ritzville where their paragliding team was waiting.
July 11, 2:23 p.m.- A Lind complainant advised they had been in a collision on South Pence Road. Deputy Bernath contacted the complainant to file a collision report.
July 11, 7:14 p.m.- A complainant advised of an unknown vehicle parked on West First Street in Lind. Deputy Solano located the vehicle and found it to be legally parked.
July 12, 7:55 a.m.- A complainant reported a cow loose on East Danekas Road. Deputy Bernath did not observe any cows loose in the area.
July 12 8:02 p.m.- While on patrol Deputy Solano observed a vehicle that was unoccupied on Highway 21. Solano contacted the listed subject who advised there was a work truck in their field belonging to Loomis Truck and Tractor. The owner of the vehicle was contacted who advised they did not know the truck was taken and that the keys were missing. Several items from the truck were reported stolen.
July 14, 5:15 p.m.- A complainant on East Yeisley Road advised that some vicious dogs on their property. They said that they had shot at them and they had left towards Hatton Road.
July 15, 9:16 a.m.- A complainant advised of an abandoned vehicle on Highway 21 near Lind. Deputy Klewin responded and located the vehicle, which was found to be stolen from Othello. The owner was contacted who picked up the vehicle.
July 15, 11:24 p.m.- A Washtucna complainant on South Main Street reported that a subject had come to their house looking for beer and marijuana. The subject then walked to the park. Deputy Jeffrey Lane contacted the subject and informed them if they returned to the residence they would be arrested for trespassing.
July 16, 2:53 p.m.- Dispatch advised Deputy Klewin of an alarm on North Sage Road. Klewin responded to the address but found no emergency. The responsible party was contacted who advised they were on their way home.
July 16, 9:50 p.m.- Sergeant Brian Taylor stopped a vehicle on South Lind-Hatton Road for speed. The driver was cited for speed and driving with a suspended license.
July 16, 10:12 p.m.- Sergeant Taylor responded to West Fifth Street in Lind where he stood by with a patient until an ambulance arrived.
July 17, 8:48 a.m.- A complainant advised three black and white dogs had arrived on their property about three days ago. They advised they would be taking them to Pet Rescue in Othello.
July 17, 10:19 a.m.- Dispatch advised Deputy of a vehicle on Bronson Street in Hatton that had sped out and thrown gravel at a complainant. The plate number provided was inaccurate.
July 17, 4:10 p.m.- Deputy Tomas Solano responded to a report of trespassing on Bronson Street in Hatton. Solano contacted the co-owner of the property who advised the subjects had permission to be on the property.
July 17, 4:30 p.m.- A complainant advised their email account had been remotely accessed from the Chewelah area. The complainant only wanted it documented.
July 17, 6:08 p.m.- Deputy Ned Bernath contacted a subject on East Highway 26 near Longmeier Road. Subject’s vehicle was over heating and did not run. Bernath transported the subject to Ritzville to wait for assistance.
