June 18, 10:36 a.m.- Deputy Ned Bernath responded to a verbal altercation on East Second Street in Lind. The complainant only wanted the incident reported for now.

June 18, 11:41 a.m.- Deputy Bernath transported a subject to Adams County Sheriff’s Office Jail.

June 18, 1:28 p.m.- Deputy Jeffrey Lane responded to West Franz Road for a report of a theft of tractor batteries.

June 18, 1:36 p.m. Deputy Bernath responded to North Seivers Road after dispatch was advised of an alarm. While in route dispatch was advised the person responsible for the property had accidentally set it off. Bernath arrived on scene and spoke with the responsible party, found no problems and cleared from the scene.

June 18, 4:18 p.m.- Deputy Lane responded to a dog bite on West Second Street in Lind. There was no injury.

June 18, 7:50 p.m.- Complainant advised of suspicious behavior between two individuals at the Hatton Coulee Rest Area. Deputy Lane arrived on scene but could not locate the vehicle.

June 18, 8:27 p.m.- Deputy Lane responded to a report of debris on Highway 395.

June 19, 2:19 p.m.- Deputy Bernath responded to Loves Travel Stop for a report of theft.

June 19, 10:02 p.m.- Deputy Lane responded to South Jefferson Street in Ritzville. Complainant had found the latch on the screen door broken advised they thought someone had tried to enter the house.

June 20, 8:19 a.m.- Deputy Bernath responded to West Main Street in Lind where a complainant advised of a civil dispute between themselves and a subject trying to move property out of the residence. Bernath arrived on scene and, after determining no assault had taken place, stood by to ensure the peace while the subject loaded his belongings into a pickup and a boat in the alley. Subject advised someone with a valid license would remove the pickup and boat later in the day. The complainant advised they did not want the subject at the residence again and Bernath advised subject if they returns to the residence again they could be subject to arrest for trespassing.

June 20, 10:38 a.m.- Deputy Bernath responded to East Hiller Road for a report of theft.

June 20, 9:52 p.m.- Deputy Lane assisted Ritzville Police Department with a car and pedestrian collision on East Dogwood Avenue in Ritzville.

June 21, 2:35 a.m.- Deputy Hunter Klewin stopped a vehicle for improper lane usages on West First Street in Lind. Subject was found to have a suspended license and was booked into jail.

June 21, 2:24 p.m.- Deputy Lane responded to South Theil Street in Washtucna for a report of possible domestic violence. No assault was found to have occurred just verbal. Both parties were advised that any violations of the law would result in their arrest.

June 21, 6:22 p.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to East Fourth Street in Lind. Both parties present claimed the other had threatened them while arguing over a rental property. They both advised they had calmed down and would handle the situation in civil court.

June 21, 10:12 p.m.- A Lind complainant on East Fifth Street reported loud music coming from their neighbor’s backyard party. Deputy Klewin contacted the neighbor and told them to turn the music down. Complainant later called and reported that the music was louder than ever. Klewin returned to the residence and the music was turned off.

June 29, 5:01 p.m.- Deputy Klewin was dispatched to West Birch Avenue where a complainant reported two suspicious subjects approaching people and making hand-to-hand exchanges. The complainant called back to report the subjects had left the area on I-90. Deputy Klewin waited for the subjects’ vehicle to pass and then checked the area but could not locate a vehicle matching the description given.

June 29, 5:51 p.m.- A complainant on Church Street in Washtucna reported their window had been broken, possibly by a BB or pellet gun.

July 1, 2:00 a.m.- Deputy Klewin stopped a vehicle for speeding in Lind. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. The subject was cited and released.

July 1, 9:51 a.m.- A Lind complainant advised of subjects trespassing and of some mischief occurring on their property about the time the subjects were on the trespassing. Deputy Bernath was able to locate the subjects after some investigation and the subjects were arrested by citation for trespassing and malicious mischief.

July 1, 10:04 a.m.- Deputy Bernath was advised of a utility trailer blocking Marcellus Road. Bernath arrived on scene and learned from the party responsible for the trailer the hitch had broken on the tow vehicle and they had returned home to get a different vehicle.

July 1, 10:06 a.m.- A complainant advised Deputy Bernath of a fraudulent phone call they had received. The complainant advised they knew it was a scam and they wanted the Sheriff’s Office to be aware of it.

July 1, 3:02 p.m.- Dispatch advised Deputy Bernath of seven 911 hang-up calls from a house on Moody Road. Bernath arrived on scene and spoke with a subject who advised their grandchild was playing with the phone.

July 1, 8:39 p.m.- Dispatch advised Deputy Klewin of a suspicious vehicle on Shrag Road. The complainant called back to inform they had seen the vehicle heading south on Highway 21. Klewin checked Lind and Highway 21 to Shrag Road but did not locate a vehicle matching the description.

July 1, 10:10 p.m.- Deputy Klewin assisted the Ritzville Police Department with a domestic in progress.

July 2, 8:59 a.m.- Dispatch advised of a suspicious vehicle on east Seventh Street in Lind. Deputy Bernath contacted the subject who advised they worked for two farmers in the area and they had stopped to take a nap.

July 2, 9:51 a.m.- Union Pacific advised of cattle on the railroad right-of-way near Sprague. Deputy Bernath contacted the party responsible for the cattle who advised they would go check.

July 2, 7:45 p.m.- Deputy Brad Zook contacted subjects who were removing a vehicle from Bronson Street in Hatton. The subjects advised they had permission from the owner to remove the vehicle. The owner was supposed to be in jail in a different state and was not able to be contacted by law enforcement. Subjects were advised they were not allowed to remove the vehicle from the residence because the owner could not be contacted. The homeowner was contacted who advised the subjects were allowed to be there.

July 3, 2:36 p.m.- Deputy Tomas Solano stopped a vehicle on S Street in Lind for a traffic offense. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. The jail could not take the subject due to over population. The subject was arrested, cited and released.

July 3, 10:55 p.m.- Deputy Jeffrey Lane responded to an alarm on East Yeisley Road in Lind. He found all was fine and it was believed family members set it off.

July 4, 6:24 a.m.- A complainant advised a subject was sitting on the railroad tracks near Neilson Street and South Third Street in Lind. Deputy Bernath checked the area but did not locate the subject.

July 4, 11:07 p.m.- Dispach advised Deputy Klewin of an open line call with a possible domestic in progress on Plager Road in Ritzville.

July 6, 5:34 p.m.- Dispatch advised Deputy Klewin of a 911 hang-up on Sage Road in Washtucna. The complainant had started to call 911 because their sibling fell but then decided to call friends to help instead. The subject was not injured from the fall and declined medical attention.
