New Book Highlights Washington’s Highway 10

The latest edition of Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series, “Washington’s Sunset Highway” will be available for purchase soon.

The book, by Washington author Chuck Flood, features more than 200 vintage photographs of the Sunset Highway also known as Highway 10.

Originally comprised from a collection of wagon roads it grew to become the main cross state route and First Avenue is where the highway ran through Ritzville.

The book features photos of iconic Ritzville landmarks, like the Circle T and Top Hat Motel, and gives a unique view of how downtown Ritzville developed.
