Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
A community forum on transportation is being hosted by the Coordinated Public Transit to form the Human Services Transportation Plan 2014. The forum takes place on Thursday, July 17, at 5 p.m. in the Adams County Public Works building.
The Human Services Transportation Plan identifies the transportation needs of individuals with special transportation needs. The special needs population includes individuals with disabilities, older adults, youth, veterans and low-income individuals.
This forum is a chance to provide input on what kinds of services are needed in the area, what current services are being used, address how to improve transportation options, common destinations, how to find common points of origin and other areas of concern related to transportation in our area.
This includes how the citizens of Ritzville who sometimes do not have the means to get out of Ritzville can best do that with the services available.
This forum is open to public and any input is valued.
People For People provides the oversight to update the Coordinated Transit - Human Services Transportation Plan. People For People will conduct community forums and collect surveys online as well as hard copies to complete the process.
The draft Human Services Transportation Plan will be posted on the People For People website at http://www.pfp.org by Aug. 29.
