Scott Allen Pedigo

Scott Allen Pedigo died June 11 at age 48, and is now at peace with his mother. He was born Jan. 31, 1966, in Lewiston, Idaho to Terry and Elda Rae Pedigo (Wilson). At the age of 6 the family moved to Ritzville, Washington where, having many friends and loving the small town life, he called home the rest of his life.

When Scott was three his father gave him motorcycle rides on the tank of his BSA, which started a lifetime love of motorcycles.

At age 14 he bought his first motorcycle, a Hodaka, by making a deal with his father to earn half of the money needed to purchase it. He did by cleaning the Perkins parking lot. Besides riding his motorcycle he enjoyed fishing.

For the last 20 plus years, until 2013, Scott was a long haul truck driver. He owned his own trucks and trailer most of that time.

He was a person of great character, was very sociable, personable, thoughtful and kind hearted. He had a great sense of humor and could make light of almost anything.

Preceded in death by his mother, grandparents Leonard and Zella Wilson, grandmother Rose Patchett, grandfather Ken Pedigo and step grandmother Mary Pedigo, uncle Bill Wheeling, and cousins Dave and Sam Wheeling.

He is survived by his father and step mother Terry and Marilu Pedigo and half brother Brent Pedigo all from Texas; half-sister Sara (Wilson) and her family; aunt Jacqueline Wheeling, uncle Henry Patchett, cousins Shanna Wheeling, Christian and Nicole Patchett and family; and several more cousins.

The family would like to thank all those from, in and around Ritzville, who knew him, for the many years of friendship and kindness to Scott.

Scott left us long before we were ready to let him go. It is said that to live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die, and we know this is true because we feel him with us wherever we go.

From knowing him, we can see that the goal is not to live forever, but rather to create something that will.
