Broncos compete at state tennis tournament

The LRS Broncos had three athletes earn a state berth this year for an opportunity to return home with hardware. Tracy Melville, Kyle Canaday and Alex Wheeler competed at the two-day state tournament in Yakima last week.

“I was pleased with how our kids did. This years tournament was very tough,” head coach Liz Melville said.

Melville explained in the past years, there has typically been one girl’s singles player who is a top United States Tennis Association in the Pacific Northwest. This year, the state tournament hosted the platform for four girls’ singles players at that level.
