May 20, 3:44 p.m. –
Dispatch advised of a white SUV in the Harvest Foods parking lot in the 600 block of West First Avenue with two children inside and the windows up. Chief David McCormick responded and was unable to locate a vehicle matching the description. McCormick checked other vehicles in the parking lot and no children were observed.
May 20, 10:54 a.m. –
Ritzville complainant requested contact at the residence on East Alder Avenue. Chief McCormick responded and the complainant discussed problems she was having with her ex-husband over child visitation. McCormick advised her to contact CPS and report the allegations taking place in the Tri-Cities area, and contact the attorney representing her.
May 20, 4:46 p.m. –
Ritzville complainant advised of a previously large crowd at the golf course watching the three moose and expressed concern for the safety of the individuals. Chief McCormick responded to the area and contacted the golf course manager for assistance in helping move people away from the moose, explaining photos should only be taken from a distance.
May 19, 1:08 p.m. –
Ritzville complainant advised of a burglary attempt on West Third Avenue. Officer Tom Gracie contacted the complainant who advised an unknown subject entered the residence through a basement window and took approximately $100-$150 worth of property.
May 18, 4:13 p.m. –
Dispatch advised of a collision complaint in the 100 block of Galbreath Way and both vehicles had already left the area. Officer Gracie contacted the complainant advised of being involved in a minor fender bender while in Ritzville. Complainant had provided the driver of the second vehicle with information and the other car did not appear damaged. The complainant advised of reporting the incident because the occupants of vehicle two had been rude and belligerent, and had not received their information because of their behavior. Gracie advised the complainant an informational report on the incident would be filed.
May 18, 10:45 a.m. –
Dispatch advised of an agency assist request at the Adams County Jail. Officer Gracie stood by as an inmate was moved within the facility without incident.
May 17, 8:19 p.m. –
Complainant advised Officer Gracie and Sergeant Mark Cameron that it was believed juveniles were shooting air soft or BB guns at the house and gave a vehicle description. Cameron contacted the vehicle at Circle K and was told by the driver it had been a younger brother. Cameron contacted the residence and advised the mother of the city ordinance regarding discharging fire arms in city limits.
May 17, 7:29 p.m. –
Dispatch advised of a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of South Columbia. Officer Gracie conducted a sweep of the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.
May 17, 2:44 p.m. –
Dispatch advised of a vehicle swerving on the interstate with the driver appearing to be drowsy. The vehicle was last seen entering Ritzville. The vehicle was located parked on Galbreath Way and the driver appeared alert and did not show any sign of intoxication.
May 17, 9:32 a.m. – Complainant on Broadway Avenue requested contact regarding a neighbor collecting junk vehicles. Chief McCormick made contact and advised the complainant to contact city hall with the complaint for a letter to be sent to the property owner.
