Lind Field Day slated for June 12

The 98th annual Washington State University Lind Field Day is set for Thursday, June 12, at the WSU Dryland Research Station north of Lind.

Registration for the free, public event begins at 8:30 a.m. with the field tour starting at 9 a.m.

A complimentary lunch, program and ice cream social will follow the field tour. Wheat industry leaders, WSU administrators and state legislators will provide updates during the noon program.

Research presentations will include a bioherbicide for downy brome management, winter wheat, club and spring wheat breeding, Russian-thistle control in no-till fallow, drought stress tolerance in wheat and alternative crops.

Washington pesticide and CEU credits for participants have been requested.
