LRS softball season comes to close

The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague played in the final games of the season on May 20 at Merkel Field in Spokane.

After defeated Liberty 28-9 in the first game, the Lady Broncos earned a spot to play Springdale in a loser-out game.

The Lady Broncos fell to Springdale 13-3, and the loss ended the Lady Broncos season in the district competition.

During the Liberty game, the Lady Broncos ran out to an early lead, securing four runs in the second inning and five runs in the fifth inning.

The seventh inning led to 13 runs by the Broncos to secure the win over Liberty.
