Former resident releases book, signing Saturday at library

Jim Roloff is returning to his hometown for the signing of his first book, “Mending God’s Creatures.” The signing and reading runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ritzville Public Library on May 24.

Growing up just outside of Ritzville in wheat country and on a cattle ranch, Roloff began gaining an appreciation for animals of all sizes, which led him to pursue a career as a veterinarian. He attended Eastern Washington University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then continued his education at Washington State University where he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine.
