Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
Amongst the crowd of 40,000 contestants, 80 individuals representing seven local communities braved the crowds and successfully complete the annual Bloomsday race in Spokane on Sunday, May 4.
Lamont resident Tracy Melville recorded the quickest time of the day and finished second out of 393 among 17-year-old females, and second out of 1,143 females in her age group. She placed 55th among the 26,081 females registered for the event, and 243rd out of the 34,570 registered from Washington.
The youngest participant from the local communities was eight-year-old Kordell Laher from Ritzville.
