Bulldog News: LRMS students prepare for yearend events

Middle school students are nearing the end of the year.

Eighth grade Promotion is coming up, sports seasons are coming to an end, and groups are beginning to meet with their new members.

The 2013-2014 eighth grade class is promoting from middle school on June 12.

They are so excited and are planning the ceremony for their big day.

The track, baseball, and softball teams are finishing their season. They are still practicing hard though, to get ready for their last couple meets and games.

The season was good and the games and meets were tough, but the Bulldogs pulled through.

Devin Schafer said, “My favorite part about track meets is competing against kids from other schools each week. I like to try to beat the kids that beat me the week before, and improve my time or jump.”

The National Junior Honor Society is holding their first couple meetings with their new members.

The Honor Society consists of students with characteristics of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.

Brooke Koch said, “The best part about being in the Honor Society is being a person that people look up to. I think being a leader is the best.”

Remember to support the LRMS Bulldogs at their sporting events and at eighth grade Promotion on June 12!
