DAR presents Good Citizen award

The Daughter’s of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities.

Nominees included Levi Allen of Washtucna High School, Evie Baldovinos of Soap Lake High School, and the contest winner Dorothy Floren of Royal High School.

These students were selected by their teachers and then wrote an essay on “Our American Heritage and Our Responsibility for Preserving it.”

All nominees were invited to attend DAR’s March meeting, where they presented their essays to the Chapter.

Chapter Regent Trudy Doolittle presented each student with an American flag, a pin and a Certificate of Participation.
