Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
The name says it all for the city’s newest business, a clothing boutique that is expected to offer variety with a little fun mixed in — Burlap & Bling Boutique.
The new venture is an extension of Connie Galbreath’s retail efforts in historic downtown Ritzville.
Galbreath set out to create a fashion center that will fill a variety of needs from the basic necessities to just the right bling and accessories to dress up any occasion.
Burlap & Bling opened on Monday at 202 West Main Ave., in the same building that houses Galbreath’s Sunny Spot Floral & Gift.
The new venture is dual purpose. Galbreath said the community needed a store that offered fashion and accessories. She was also looking for a way to diversify her business to keep it solid while maintaining the small town ambiance.
“Being a small business in a small town, I’m trying to keep my doors open and I needed to diversify,” she said.
In August, Galbreath will celebrate her tenth anniversary as the owner and operator of Sunny Spot Floral & Gift.
Before that, one of her career choices was working for Linda Morgan when she operated Just Your Style.
“I loved my job,” Galbreath said. “I like fashion and I have a teenage daughter. I also felt a clothing boutique would go well with what I already offer.”
What will you find in Burlap & Bling?
“Shorts to dressier skirts and tops. From casual to the dressier evening attire,” Galbreath described. “We will be able to show customers how they can add jewelry to update a basic outfit with the right accessories. Hopefully people can find what they are looking for here.”
In honor of spring, you can expect bright, vibrant colors, flip flops, sunglasses and festive attire that goes well with warm weather activities.
