Joyce Irene (McClung) Reilly

Joyce Irene (McClung) Reilly of Cheney, formerly of Waukon, died on March 18. Joyce was born June 14, 1929, in St. Maries, Idaho to Fred McClung and Agnes (Fish) McClung.

She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1947. She married Dee L. Reilly in 1950 and lived on the family dairy farm for many years.

Joyce was a 50-year member of the Waukon Grange and was a member of the Martha Chapter of Eastern Star. She was a cook for the Reardan-Edwall School District at the Edwall location for several years and she was the last postmaster of the Waukon Post Office.

Her husband, Dee L., preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her son Garry (Mary) Reilly of Ritzville; daughters Irene (Rex) Rosenoff of Ritzville; Marsha (Craig) Reilly Holstine of Olympia; Linda (Steve) James of Wenatchee; and Janice (Doug) Hicks of Reardan; sister Winifred Steiner of Cheney; brother Raymond McClung of Sumner; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheney Fire Department Equipment Fund. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 23, 1 p.m., at the Reardan Community Hall.
