BACK IN BUSINESS

GREAT CROWD. The Horse Crazy Band entertains a nearly sold out audience in the Ritz Theatre on Saturday night during the theatre’s return to action after a long hiatus. The benefit event was held as a soft opening and as an effort to raise money to complete the renovation of the local landmark, and to help facilitate the purchase of a digital projection system. The digitial projection system is needed in order for the theatre to return to offering first run motion pictures. The band is using a stage that was added during the renovation process to make the facility more versatile and capable of hosting a variety of live entertainment events in the future. -Journal photo by Stephen McFadden
