The Caring Neighbors board recently donated $1,300 to the Ritzville Elementary School for Kindergarten chairs to help improve the learning atmosphere in the classroom.
The Raising a Reader program received $450, which has been a success since the 2011-12 school year.
The LRHS Publications class received $200 for the school yearbook and the funds will be used to help purchase yearbooks for low-income students.
Caring Neighbors is a non-profit entity established by Big Bend Electric Cooperative.
The members of Big Bend Electric Co-op have donated the funds for Caring Neighbors.
