Muriel Diesel

Muriel Grace (Stockwell) Diesel died Jan. 27 in Richland at the age of 90. She was born in San Pedro Calif.

Muriel attended University of California at Santa Barbara. In 1943, she married Halbert Diesel and spent the next 20 years as a happy military wife traveling the United States. In 1999 she moved to Ritzville after retiring from the Job Corps at the age of 75.

She was a 62-year member of P.E.O. and a 30-year member of Sweet Adeline’s.

She is survived by her five children: Peggy (Jim) Miller, Janet (Bob) Turpen, Beverly (Jim) Stephens, William (Kim) Diesel, and Cindi Diesel; 10 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Muriel will be greatly missed by her family, friends and others whose lives she touched with her positive attitude and her sense of humor.

Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif. Memorial donations may be made to Zion Philadelphia UCC or Adams County Pet Rescue.
