Mission to Africa renews passion for outreach

A three-week immersion into the Malawian culture brought Ritzville residents Ryo Olson and Terry Rube back to Washington with a renewed purpose and passion for outreach to others.

The duo joined with 15 other missionaries from across the state to travel to Malawi, a landlocked country in southern Africa, to finish constructing a church for a village in the country.

Olson said a Grandview mission group contacted the Ritzville Nazarene Church with the invitation to join the trip. Olson, the pastor for the local church, quickly agreed to accompany them and was joined by Rube.
