During the annual meeting on Jan. 28, the Adams County Conservation District presented three local sixth graders with awards for their essays on transgenic foods. The students placing in the contest are Taela Church from Washtucna School, Tyler Moore from Washtucna School, and Taelor Umland from Lind-Ritzville Middle School.
