Estes scholarship now available

The Ronald Dean Estes Scholarship has now become available for Lind-Ritzville High School students.

The scholarship is awarded annually through the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, and will be given to three seniors in the amount of $1,000.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 15.

The scholarship was created in honor and memory of Ronald Dean Estes, husband of Andrea Estes, owner of Andy’s Produce.

Ronald participated in high school football in Wenatchee and eventually served as an attorney in the same town. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
