Alvin C. Klettke

Alvin C. Klettke, 91, died Dec. 23 in Medical Lake. He was born July 1, 1922, to Gottlieb and Fredericka Klettke in Ritzville. As a young man, he was athletic; enjoying both track and boxing. After graduation from Ritzville High School, he served in the Army.

He then returned to his lifetime career as a wheat farmer in Adams County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, on Oct. 28, 2013. His 11 brothers and sisters also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy, her husband, Will, granddaughter, Lindsay, and step-sons Don and Frank Realing.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery and followed by a celebration of life at the Pastime in Ritzville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
