County commissioners reorganize for 2014

The Adams County Commissioners voted on reorganization of the board for 2014 during a Monday meeting on Dec. 23.

By consensus, the board confirmed Jeffrey Stevens to serve as the 2014 chairman and John Marshall to serve as the 2014 vice-chairman.

Following the vote, outgoing Chairman Roger Hartwig expressed his appreciation to Stevens and Marshall for their assistance during his term as the 2013 chairman.

Immediately following the reorganization of the board, special assignments for 2013 were reviewed with the note that changes may be made later in the year.

Marshall will serve as the representative for Aging and Adult Care, QuadCo Regional Transportation Planning Organizations (RTPO), Courthouse Operation and Maintenance, People Against Illegal Drugs (PAID), Adams County Development Council and Legislative Steering Committee.

Hartwig will serve as the representative for Columbia River Policy Advisory Group, Columbia Basin Ground Water Management Area (GWMA), Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters (LEOFF), Columbia Basin Development League, Emergency Services and Legislative Alternative.

Stevens will serve as the representative for Martin Hall, Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC), Spokane Regional Support Network, Job Training Partnership Act-Private Industry Council (JTPA-PIC), Washington Counties Risk Pool (WCRP), Emergency Food and Shelter Board, Eastern Washington Council of Governments and Legislative Alternate.
