Worthy President Don Kagele invites members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2739 to attend the organization’s meeting on Monday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m.
Kagele said the fraternal order has a number of important issues to discuss and that the membership should be present to participate in the discussion.
Dennis Allen, past Washington State Aerie President from Deer Park will serve as a speaker.
The local Aerie will also address a couple of fundraising items. The first is the approval of a matching grant from the Grand Aerie for the Ritzville Volunteer Ambulance Association.
The membership will discuss future fundraising efforts for the RVAA and the Ritzville Volunteer Fire Department.
A discussion regarding changes in the House Rules that apply to the social room and an update of the local Aerie’s bylaws is planned.
Kagele would also like to fill a number of vacancies on the organization’s governing board.
The following positions are vacant: Junior Past Worthy President, Worthy Vice President, Worthy Chaplain and treasurer. There is also a vacancy on the five-member Board of Trustees.
Those currently serving in positions are: Kagele, Worthy President; Kurt Staley, Worthy Conductor; Karin Schaefer, Worthy Secretary; Amy Shaw, Worthy Inside Guard. The trustees are Kevin Schaefer, Dave Breazeale, Harry Shafer and John Faure.
Members of the Aerie Auxiliary are aslo encouraged to attend the meeting.
