Maxine E. Schwisow

Maxine E. Schwisow died on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from a brain tumor.

She was born on Oct. 10, 1921, to Agnes and Fred Bolon in Kendrick, Idaho. She was a descendent of Queen Anne Boleyn, wife of King Henry VIII. Lillian Disney, Walt’s wife, was a distant cousin.

She married Fred Schwisow in September 1945, and they were married for nearly 52 years and had four children, Kris, Randi, Nancy and David.

She had a wonderful, long life. She taught school for many years in the Ritzville School District. Even with her diminishing eyesight she continued to make and sell her homemade cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Fred; her husband, Fred; son, David; son-in-law, Mike Graeber; sister, Marcelle Woody; and brother, Vic Bolon.

She is survived by her daughters, Kris Schwisow, Randi (Mike) Graeber and Nancy (Clint) Baker; grandchildren, Tiffany Gering, Megan Gering, Staci Ambrose, Erin Rojas, Shannon Graeber, and Drew Graeber; great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Corbin Rojas; sisters, Barb German and Bev Reeve; and her in-laws, Nancy Bolon, Don and Betty Schwisow, Phyllis Ziemer, and Lois Seaburg.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 15, from 12-5 p.m. at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville. A memorial service is Monday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church located at 206 South Division Street in Ritzville, with Pastor Bob Kenyon presiding.
