Francis J. Pool

Francis J. Pool died at the age of 92 on Friday, Jan. 20, in Spokane.

A lifelong resident of Lamont, Wash., he was born on Oct. 24, 1922, to Frank and Elizabeth (Wiltzius) Pool on the family farm near Lamont.

He attended schools in Whitman County, graduating from Lamont High School in 1940. He lived on the family farm his entire life, farming and raising cattle with his siblings: Arthur and Elizabeth Pool. He was a very loving and gentle man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth; an infant baby brother; his brother, Arthur Pool in 1994; and his sister, Elizabeth Pool in 2006.

Graveside funeral services with vault interment will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Cemetery in Sprague. Danekas Funeral Home and Crematory of Ritzville is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to Sprague Ambulance Fund.
