Sixth grade class starts food drive this week

The Lind-Ritzville Middle School sixth grade leadership class has recently announced they are conducting a food drive to satisfy a class project assignment and participate in community service.

The food drive runs from Oct. 18 until Nov. 8 with all donations benefitting the Ritzville Food Pantry.

Collection boxes will be distributed on Friday, Oct. 18, in the communities of Lind and Ritzville, and will accept non-perishable food items for the next three weeks.

In Ritzville collection boxes will be available at: Sterling Bank, Wheatland Bank, Ritzville Drug Company, Ritzville Post Office, East Adams Rural Hospital, Big Bend Electric Co-op, Emanuel Lutheran Church and Ritzville Grade School.

Collection boxes in the Lind community are located at Jim’s Empire Market, Lind Elementary School and Lind-Ritzville Middle School.
