In the final preseason game of the year, the LaCrosse-Washtucna Lady Tigercats fell to the Pomeroy Pirates in three sets: 12-25, 9-25, 14-25. The Lady Tigercats started league play on Tuesday, Oct. 1, against St. John-Endicott and lost the league game 14-25, 15-25, 20-25.
The Lady Tigercats hosted the Lady Pirates in Washtucna and struggled to match the Pomeroy team defensively.
The Lady Tigercats had many successful offensive rallies but the Pomeroy athletes found holes in the LW defense, specifically on serve receive.
