A Talented Group...

NFL fans should remember the hubbub from a year ago when the referees were locked out by the NFL owners. Replacement officials were used for the preseason as well as regular season games.

The fans at these games were very critical of every call made by the replacements whether they were right or wrong. Most of the calls were right of course but the explanations were usually an exercise in futility. Fans booed and the football pundits piled on these guys for not being professional or knowing what the rules were. I guess they forgot those officials were replacements.
