Clyde Warren Buehler died at the age of 90 on July 24 in Ellensburg.
He was born on May 16, 1923, to John Oliver and Laura (Alfred) Buehler in Miller, S.D.
He was a part of the 17th Airborne Division, was in the 464th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion and was honorably discharged from the Army on Jan. 29, 1946.
He was a teacher, coach and athletic director until his retirement in 1979. He taught and coached in Ritzville, Prosser and Ellensburg.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Jean Buehler of Ellensburg; sons, Dr. Michael (Merilee) Buehler of Yakima, David (Belinda) Buehler of Yakima, Roger (Eva) Buehler of Germantown, Tenn .; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Aug. 3 in Ellensburg.
Lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Family Christian Worship Center.
Brookside Funeral Home of Ellensburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
