The fall sports orientation meeting for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague high school and middle school parents and athletes is being held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. in Gilson Gymnasium.
The informational meeting serves as an opportunity for local athletes to turn in paperwork, and pay athletic and other school fees. The high school football and volleyball teams are having a parent meeting, and a discussion about concussion testing is also scheduled for the meeting.
Middle school coaches are not conducting a parent meeting on Aug. 20 but parents are still encouraged to attend to pay fees or drop off paperwork. All paperwork and fees must be turned in before athletes are allowed to begin practice.
Required forms to be returned prior to the start of the athletic season are: physical form, concussion waiver and information sheet, athletic permission form, athletic code form, safety guidelines and a warning letter.
The fees that must be paid before the start of the high school sporting season are associated student body (ASB) fees of $35 and a sport fee of $5. For middle school, athletes must pay a $30 ASB fee and a $5 sport fee.
Other fees that may be paid include yearbook, FFA and season passes.
All athletic forms can be found on the Lind-Ritzville website, http://lrschools.org, by following the “athletics” link.
