Benjamin V. S. Shearer

Benjamin V. S. Shearer died at the age of 77 on June 24 at his home in Washtucna.

He was born March 11, 1936, to Ruth M. (Tarter) and David Benjamin Shearer.

He was self-employed for most of his life working as a mechanic. He also owned a print shop in Post Falls, Idaho, and a computer shop in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

In 1996 he and his wife, Rowena Rose Shearer moved from Coeur d’Alene to LaCrosse. In 2000 the couple moved to Washtucna to raise Emu’s.

He is survived by his wife, Rowena; four children from previous marriages; five stepchildren; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
