Mosquito Control asks residents to check for standing water

The Adams County Mosquito Control District is reminding homeowners and renters to check residences and farm buildings for standing water in any type of container on the property including unused buckets, swimming pools and old vehicles.

Standing water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes and the most effective way to deter the growth of mosquitoes is to stop them in the larva stage. Containers should be emptied of any liquid and left turned over.
