Happy Fourth...

I didn’t sign the Declaration of Independence but I certainly do appreciate those who did. They had the foresight and wherewithal to make it all happen.

None of my relatives came here until the late 1800s but they obviously knew that the good old USA was the place for them to make a good life. They became farmers or married them and I can appreciate just how hard they all worked and succeeded through some very difficult times. My mom’s parents came here from a country that doesn’t even exist anymore.

That country was Bohemia.

My dad’s folks were from Sweden and Germany, which may explain a few...
