May 4, 11:13 a.m. – Adams County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance at the jail for possession of contraband by an inmate. Deputy Jeffrey Lane responded and assisted as needed. Jail found methamphetamine.

May 3, 10:12 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised they are receiving belligerent calls from a subject that wants a tow put cannot pay, but the vehicle is in the ditch in the area of East Sackman Road and North Newland Road. Deputies Aarib Madison and Ben Buriak contacted the vehicle and determined the subjects had called four times to get a tow. It was learned the driver tried to turn around with their pickup and got the rear end stuck in the ditch. A male subject contacted a friend to come get the vehicle unstuck.

May 3, 8:51 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of lights going on and off at the abandoned home on West Neergaard Road. Complainant then advised of a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Deputies Buriak and Madison located the vehicle and took three subjects into custody for Criminal Trespassing in the second degree.

May 3, 6:06 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a subject on a motorcycle that did a wheelie in front of the church on Weber Avenue, then proceeded to Connell Oil for gas. The subject was riding a dark colored motorcycle and followed by two to three more motorcyclists. Deputy Buriak responded and the subjects had left the gas station prior to Dep. Buriak’s arrival. Dep. Buriak checked the surrounding businesses and did not locate the described subjects.

May 3, 1:22 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant contacted Deputy Ned Bernath at the Sheriff’s office, advising they have been getting calls from an unknown subject stating the complainant has a federal warrant and needs to pay $596 via money order or PayPal from Wal-Mart to take care of it. The complainant and Dep. Bernath attempted to call back the number and it went straight to voice mail. Dep. Bernath gave the complainant a case number and advised them to tell the caller that this is fraud and has been reported to the police. Dep. Bernath performed a records check and the phone number originated from Michigan.

May 1, 3:42 p.m. –

Complainant from Chewelah called and advised they were bitten by a dog on North Highway 261 and Ralston Road. Deputy Dan Verhey attempted to contact the dog owner two times and no one was home. Dep. Verhey will follow up at a later date.

May 1, 7:52 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of several vehicles driving by and at times parking in front of their property on South Sprague Avenue. Complainant advised the property is on a dead end graveled road and requests extra patrols in the area.

April 30, 9:31 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised dispatch of a subject walking North on Bauer Road. Sergeant Troy Mock searched the area and did not located anyone walking in the area.

April 29, 8:43 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a threatening phone call they received from an unknown number. Complainant stated the caller demanded their money by Friday. Deputy Jeffrey Lane advised the complainant to call back if they receive any more phone calls.

April 29, 7:51 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a possible domestic in progress on North Rand Lane. Deputy Madison responded. A juvenile female subject was arrested for fourth degree assault domestic violence and obstruction.

April 29, 4:23 p.m. – While on patrol, Deputy Lane located an abandoned vehicle blocking the roadway on North Marcellus Road and East Schoessler Road in Ritzville. Deputy Lane contacted the owner of the vehicle who was en route to remove it.

April 28, 10:52 p.m. –

Washtucna complainant advised of a subject coming onto their property on West May Avenue to pick up a Go-Cart. Complainant further stated there is an active protection order in place and they believe this is a third party contact. Deputy Buriak contacted the complainant and learned the subject did not contact the complainant. The subject was told to just pick up the Go-Cart.

April 28, 10:46 p.m. – Washington State Patrol requested assistance on eastbound I-90 near milepost 218 with the removal of a deceased animal on the roadway. Deputy Madison responded and assisted as needed. The animal was removed from the roadway.

April 28, 8:07 p.m. –

Adams County Jail requested assistance with a cell search due to the odor of smoke being detected. Deputies Buriak and Madison assisted the jail in searching the cell. A small quantity of marijuana was located.
