Washtucna FFA announces yearend awards

The Washtucna FFA chapter hosted a yearend banquet to recognize and honor the accomplishments of the members. Along with the awards presentation, the new officer team members were also announced.

The students representing the chapter as the officer team for the upcoming school year are Levi Allen, Bo Rice, Gail Harder, Britte Harder, Nicole Harder and Kaylee Pavone. Past officers for the chapter are Logan Harder, Sawyer Hostetler, Johnathan Holdren, Levi Allen, Amber Dainty, Gail Harder and Wes Kelly.

FFA members receiving the Discovery Degree are Garrett Correll, Britte Harder, Nicole Harder, Derek McKeen, Kaylee Pavone and Alex Whitman. Greenhand Degree recipients are Amanda Miller, Ashley Boyer, Brittany Gordon and Michael Phelps. Chapter Degree award winners are Eric Harder, Gail Harder, Chance Rice, Mads Schmidt-Larsen and Rodrigo Santos.

The chapter also recognized a list of members for achievements in the classroom. Brittany Gordon received the Ag Science Effort Award for showing outstanding work ethic and a willingness to learn and be engaged in the Ag Science curriculum.

Logan Harder received the Mechanical Science Effort Award for excellence in completing fabrication projects while maintaining a strong work ethic.

Students receiving STIHL Engine Bronze Training Certificate are Bo Rice, Holdren and Kelly. This is the first in a three part series STIHL manufacturing requires for all technicians at STIHL dealerships in order to be paid technicians and sales representatives.

The Metal Fabrications I Effort Award went to Allen for excellence with projects and maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic throughout the year. The Wood Fabrication I Effort Award went to Correll, Nicole Harder and Pavone for excellence and Britte Harder, Derek McKeen and Whitman for achievement.
