City of Ritzville Mayor Linda Kadlec declared June 16-22 as Ritzville Museums Week and hopes the proclamation helps bring more community members into the local museums. In honor of museums week, the local museum volunteers are encouraging families to visit the museums on June 18-22 from noon until 4 p.m.
The Frank R. Burroughs’ Home and the Railroad Depot Museum will be open during the Tuesday to Saturday dates to welcome small and large family groups. Refreshments will be served at both locations.
The event is planned to provide community residents with an opportunity to visit the unique local museums.
The Burroughs’ Home is located at 408 West Main Avenue and the Railroad Depot Museum is located on Railroad Avenue in Ritzville. For more information, contact the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce at 659-1936.
