This summer the City of Ritzville will become a virtual construction zone with much of the work commencing in July. As a result of the numerous infrastructure improvement projects, Mayor Linda Kadlec and the Ritzville City Council will conduct an informative meeting for the public on Tuesday, June 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at city hall. The meeting will be held prior to the start of the 7 p.m. regular city council meeting.
A representative of the city’s engineering firm, Varela and Associates will attend to answer technical questions about the various projects.
Already under construction is the city’s new domestic water well. In the coming weeks work will commence on several projects including: redesign and major modification of the Division Street at Bauman and Smitty’s Boulevard intersection, reconstruction of West First Avenue, installation of 10,000 lineal feet of replacement water mains, construction of a water system booster pump station and the construction of a new section of the community walking path.
